In this eye-opening session, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Roberto Ma will break down what addiction really is, why we develop dependencies, and most importantly, what we can start doing to move towards change. Whether it’s drugs, social media, or harmful habits, what are practical ways to consider exploring to build a healthier, more balanced life for yourself and your family.
This talk is designed for both parents and youth, offering valuable insights on recognizing addictive patterns and creating lasting change.

Speaker: Roberto Ma
Roberto is a licensed marriage & family therapist with over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. He attended UCSD (Biology) and Western Seminary (MA in Marital & Family therapy, and Addiction Studies Certificate)
He is currently working in the department of Adult Psychiatry - Kaiser Permanente as a licensed therapist. Prior to this, he served in multiple roles at a Christian social service agency in San Jose - ranging from Addiction Counselor, Family Therapist to Director of the Outpatient program.
